Panax Europe j.d.o.o. is the "data controller" for any personal data processed through LetGo, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

what data stays on your device

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and never leaves it:

• Journal entries and written reflections
• Check-in history and mood records
• Breathing session history
• App preferences and settings
• Usage statistics for your personal Monthly Reflection Report

what data is processed externally

When you choose to use certain optional features, some data is processed by external services:

Gentle Reflections (AI Processing): When you tap "see a gentle reflection" after journaling, your text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This is opt-in per journal entry and is turned off by default. OpenAI processes the data in real-time and does not retain it.

Voice Transcription: When using the voice recording feature, your audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. The audio is processed in real-time and is not stored by OpenAI.

legal basis for processing

We only process your personal data where we have a legal basis to do so under the GDPR:

• Your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) for the optional AI Reflection and Voice Transcription features. Because your reflections may reveal information about your emotional or mental well-being — which can constitute a special category of data — we rely on your explicit consent. These features are off by default; nothing is sent to any external service unless you actively enable and use them, and you can withdraw consent at any time by turning the feature off in Settings.
• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for processing your subscription through our payments provider.

international data transfers

The AI and transcription features are provided by OpenAI, which may process data on servers located in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is governed by OpenAI's Data Processing Addendum and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), which provide appropriate safeguards for your data. If you do not enable the optional AI features, no data leaves your device and no international transfer takes place.

subscription and payments

LetGo uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat:

• Uses anonymous App User IDs (no email or personal identifiers)
• Processes payments through Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Does not use your data for advertising or tracking

what we don't do

• We don't create user accounts
• We don't collect your email address
• We don't track your behavior or usage patterns
• We don't use advertising SDKs
• We don't sell or share your data with third parties
• We don't sync your data to any cloud service

your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data. Because LetGo stores your data locally on your device and does not hold it on our servers, you exercise most of these rights directly:

• Access & portability: your data lives on your device and is yours to read and export at any time.
• Erasure: use "Start Over" in the Profile section, or delete individual entries from your history. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
• Withdraw consent: turn off AI Reflections or Voice Transcription in Settings at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Croatia this is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP — Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, azop.hr). If you are in another EU/EEA country, you may contact your local authority.

data deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by using the "Start Over" option in the Profile section of the app. This permanently removes all locally stored data.

children's privacy

LetGo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the date above.
